It was indeed a special occasion for musical and non-musical reasons alike, that Insha Capital and its subsidiary, Radstone Money supported this stereotype breaking initiative, at the prestigious Royal Selangor Polo and Riding Club, now renamed The KL Polo Club on the last Sunday evening of May 2023.
Aptly named as The Inaugural KLPC Music Fest, this event hosted some 200 odd crème de la crème, music lovers of contemporary 70s and 80s music ranging from the classics to pop and everything in between, taking us back to a bygone era! The event supercharged their passion for great musical showmanship set in the perfect surrounds on the lawn of the KLPC with perfect weather thrown in for good measure.
It was a top draw performance from the indefatigable Kenny Tay of the Kenny, Remy & Martin fame, the legendary Julian Mokhtar from the iconic Blues Gang followed by polished acts of Josh Thomas and Gerrard Abishegam, where the night ended after a gravitating performance from the 80s hits band The Union, making a comeback after a 3-year hiatus.
The success of this inaugural KLPC Music Fest, must be largely attributed to the splendid and sterling efforts of the two gentlemen whose brainchild it was to create and launch this event – Senior Counsel and Polo Club Committee Member, Mr. Stanley Sinnappen and Mr. Ramesh Kana, Managing Director of Insha Group and music aficionado. Both, these gentlemen displayed a passion and commitment to uplifting and remembering the lives of the great musicians of Malaysia.
Insha Group and Radstone Money along with the Kuala Lumpur Polo Club are grateful to all those who supported this event, making it a memorable inaugural event with passionate anticipation for next year’s event!!
